Walk Off Wins Highlight Day 1 Of Playoffs

Both games of the 2016 playoffs were decided in walk off fashion today at Concordia University's Porter Park.
Game 1 featured the Stars vs the Lobos. The teams were deadlocked at 1-1 until the Stars scored a run in the bottom of the 9th to take game 1. With Justin Taylor at 1B, Brenden Tsuneo Yan doubled down the right field line. The relay throw was mishandled, and that allowed Taylor to score the game winner.
Game 2 was a back and forth affair. The Ports appeared to have the game in hand with a 3 run lead and 2 outs in the 9th. The Stars scored 4 runs by virtue of 3 walks, a HBP, 2 infield singles and an error. Going into the bottom of 9 training 7-6, the Ports took the game on a bases loaded 2 run double by Andrew Haley.
Sunday's championship will pit the #1 seed Dukes vs the #2 seed Ports. Game time is set for 1pm.
